Mother in law was in durham university hospital. While visiting saw the patient tv,s in the rooms. Pricing is a ripoff but worse the screens are only about 6" wide!! How the hell do you expect a patient to see the image let alone operate the complicated menu when ill. In another hospital tried to buy a card from the dispenser, five ponds in no card out!!! What a surprise no site maintenance to fix dispenser, have to ring "Customer" help line to get resolved.......could get through!!! Whish had bought shares in the company as garenteed profit making. Does any one know if they own the car parks as well??

At least Tesco won't tease you by advertising them online like Asda!

Asda Gift Cards pretend to be available to buy online, giving you all the available options including accepting international Visa cards (great because I'm abroad at the moment but my parents are in the UK). But at the very last minute through the order process they fail with no contact number, no explanation etc. Of course none is available to speak too so after waiting the weekend to speak with an ASDA agent I'm told "they don't accept International Visa cards" (even though their website allows you to input foreign countries and despite the fact that my bank has authorized the payment) - so now the funds are tied up for 5 to 10 business days but ASDA will not process the payment, so of course my parents will not be receiving their Asda gift card !

Totally agree about the crap Hospedia system. My husband just had hip replacement op so to alleviate the 'pleasures' of being in hospital we went for the £20 5 day bundle. No, when it came to choosing the amount it didn't exist so we put £25 worth in on the credit card. Whilst not feeling great he had difficulty trying to navigate around the system to find some films he wanted but didn't find. The screen picture is dreadful. At the point the £20 bundle expired the screen said he had £4.70 credit and when he called to find out why, he was told he'd been charged for a phone call! Phone calls were supposed to be free according to all their bumph. Then he couldn't even select BBC 1 and gave up. Now he's home and we've emailed to get back our £4.70 - I wonder..........................................

Ah well, that's the NHS in the Teenies. If you add in the cost of the car parking, it's probably cheaper to go private where you get a nice big TV in the corner of the room with a remote control!

Sup G,

Killing time on Google+ and led me to your site. Very slick.

I had been debating if it was worth the money and came very close to purchase on Amazon the other day. A whole bunch of 1 star reviews (vast majority of reviewers) all moaning about Origin experience, and initial launch day server issues. Sod that!

Play games to enjoy myself and unwind, sounds like an expensive pain in the rear.

Enjoyed the post, thanks for helping me make up my mind perminantly, even if it comes down in price, don't think it is for me. Also lol @ your lack of adapting to mainstream controls. Right click jumping! What you like!

Will check this site more often, fun read.

This account is a real night-and-day contrast with the Xbox 360 version. Installed the game, went straight to the server browser (which actually worked first time!), found a server, and dropped straight into the fight. No fuss at all.

Admittedly, a control pad is far inferior control method than keyboard/mouse, but given everyone you'll play against has that same handicap... its just a case of adjusting.

I just dont have the patience to wade through all that stuff on a PC, just to spend an hour or two gaming anymore. I can only imagine the horror of getting 'run' bound to a right mouse button; I'm sure that'd kill 4 or 5 hours...

Nowadays, when I just dont have time to do that, the convenience of being able to throw the CD in the console and play seems infinitely preferable. Does that make me a 'casual gamer' now? :( Either way, I can't see myself going back to PC gaming. The expense of a new rig, and more importanty the time invested in all the setup and troubleshooting just puts me right off.

You got as far as I did in the singleplayer though - it all just seemed like a bunch of quicktime events strung together. Hardly seems worth it. Shame, as the Bad Company single player campaigns weren't too bad - and were quite funny in places. Still, who buys a Battlefield game for the singleplayer?

To sum it up though - the experience on the Xbox is how I remember the BF2 experience being, through rose-tinted glasses. It's awesomely good fun.
